Photo Friday Contest Rules

From Friday, June 1 through Friday, October 5th, 2018, our fans from Instagram and Facebook get a chance to share their favorite photos of the ferry and Block Island for an opportunity to win tickets to either the Hi-Speed or Traditional ferry!

How to Enter:

FACEBOOK: If entering the photo contest on Facebook, you must enter through our Photo Friday Facebook contest page located here: LINK COMING SOON. All entries must be uploaded on this page beginning the Saturday prior to #BIFphotoFriday at 6am, and ending at noon on the day of #BIFphotoFriday (June 1 - Ocotober 5, 2018) EST. 

INSTAGRAM: If entering the photo contest on Instagram, upload your photo as usual and be sure to tag #BIFphotoFriday to be eligible. All entries must be uploaded beginning the Saturday prior to #BIFphotoFriday at 6am, and ending at noon on the day of #BIFphotoFriday at noon (June 1 - October 5, 2018) EST.

Contest Details:

• 1 winner will be selected from both Facebook and Instagram each week to win 2 ferry tickets.
• Submissions must be made beginning the Saturday prior to #BIFphotoFriday at 6am, and ending at noon on the day of #BIFphotoFriday (June 1 - October 5, 2018) EST. Winners will be announced shortly thereafter.
• Winning tickets to the Pt. Judith Traditional Ferry (which run year-round departing from Pt. Judith), must be redeemed by December 31, 2018. Tickets are non-transferable. Winners must call the Ticket Office to confirm reservations at (866) 783-7996. 
• Tickets to the Hi-Speed ferry from Newport, RI or Fall River, MA (which run during the summer season) must be redeemed from June 23 - September 3, 2018. Tickets are non-transferable.  Winners must call the Ticket Office to confirm reservations at (866) 783-7996. Seating is limited.
• For ferry schedules, please visit our Schedule page. 
• Winners will be notified via Facebook or Instagram and will be asked to provide their mailing address and phone number. Block Island Ferry will mail the winning tickets to the address provided. Or, the contest winner may pick up their tickets at the Block Island Ferry's office in Narragansett, RI. Please note that a valid photo ID is required when picking up the winning tickets.
• Contestants are encouraged to submit photos each week (only 1 entry per person per week). However, if you win, you are then ineligible to win any future photo Friday contests during the 2018 season (only 1 winner per household). 

All contributions made to #BIFPhotoFriday should be legal material, your own creations and a creation whose rights you own and that will not infringe upon the copyright of others. Unless requested to remove your content from our servers, you grant Block Island Ferry a full license to use and publicly display your content.
